Camps

Our camps are especially geared towards children who want to learn good horsemanship.  We place a great deal of emphasis on the way children learn as opposed to the way horse writers organize subject matter.  We will introduce curriculum that will help children meet basic standards and proficiencies, while continuing to perform baseline testing to increase the child’s goals.  We will offer what no other organization can match in north Florida, great instruction, the right pony and equipment, and a safe and comfortable teaching environment.

As with any teaching, effective learning requires parents that involve their children at home with daily discussions on what they learned and enjoyed about the day.  We concur with the United States Pony Club’s guided beliefs:

1.       It is important to progressively develop a well-rounded horseperson.
2.       The well-rounded horseperson is capable of riding safely and tactfully on the flat, over fences, and in the open.
3.       Knowledgeable care of horses and ponies is basic to the well-rounded horseperson.
4.       The well being of the horse if paramount.
5.       Fair and friendly competitions develop teamwork and sportsmanship.
6.       Fun and friendship are part of all learning.
7.       Parental involvement is important.
8.       Safety is a daily commitment.
9.       There is no substitute for professional advice and guidance in the field of horseback riding.
