About Skyway Farms
There are many ways to learn to ride a horse, but some work better than others, and with less stress on horse , student , and trainer. Some methods work better for some students than others, and given that all students are different, it is important to be able to apply certain principles that are applicable to all, in a way that is understandable and effective for that particular student.
Effective teaching applies simpler ways of obtaining good results, and complicated aspects of schooling theory and practice when warranted. A good riding system will:
· Be based on how a horse thinks.
· Have logical progressions.
· Be safe and human.
· Be positive and rewarding for both student and horse.

A knowledgeable and sympathetic trainer will always be invaluable, but she also needs to be able to build your confidence, independence and personal fulfillment. At our barn we will always offer:
· Kindness.
· Sensitivity.
· Respect and love for horses.
· Intense concentration on the art of horsemanship.
· Commitment.
· Self-control and discipline.
· Lifelong commitment to learning.
· An unsurpassed detailed knowledge of how horses learn, and the ability to correctly teach them to our students.
